Dr. Melika Shahhosseini is a co-founder of DNA Nanobots and an expert in DNA origami nanostructures for biomedical applications. She earned her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2023, where her research in the Nanoengineering and Biodesign Lab focused on using DNA nanotechnology to study and manipulate cell–cell interactions.

Her work, recognized by a Pelotonia Fellowship in 2020, explored the role of extracellular matrix biomarkers in cancer, contributing to the development of targeted DNA nanodevices for therapeutic applications. Dr. Shahhosseini brings a unique blend of engineering precision and biological insight to the company’s foundational science and innovation.
