Sanghamitra "Mitra" Bhattacharyya, Mol Bio Senior Scientist

Dr. Mitra Bhattacharyya is a highly experienced molecular biologist and biochemist supporting DNA Nanobots as a research scientist. With over two decades of expertise in translational research and gene therapy, Mitra brings critical insights to plasmid engineering, nucleic acid quantification, and analytical assay development.

Prior to joining DNA Nanobots, Mitra served as a GxP Senior Scientist at Andelyn Biosciences, where she led analytical development efforts supporting AAV gene therapy programs. She previously spent over 15 years at the Cleveland Clinic, advancing our understanding of disease mechanisms and supporting therapeutic discovery in collaborative academic-industry settings.

Mitra holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Calcutta University, with deep technical command of molecular biology. Her versatile skillset and dedication to translational impact make her an integral part of the team’s development pipeline.
