Enrique Lin-Shiao, Scientific Advisory Board
Dr. Enrique Lin Shiao is a molecular biophysicist and translational science leader, currently Head of Search & Evaluation at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He advises DNA Nanobots on gene therapy strategy and early-stage partnerships, drawing on deep experience in therapeutic development and venture investment.
While a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Jennifer Doudna’s lab at UC Berkeley, Dr. Lin Shiao co-invented a DNA origami-based gene delivery technology licensed by DNA Nanobots. His research demonstrated how full-length genes can be folded and delivered with CRISPR–Cas9 for precision genome editing.
A champion of equity in science, he co-founded Caminos en Ciencia to highlight Latinx scientists in STEM. Dr. Lin Shiao holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and degrees in Biophysics and Engineering Physics from the Technical University of Munich.
